Privacy Policy
The pay figures you type into the calculator are worked out by JavaScript running inside your own browser and are never submitted to this site. What this page covers is everything else: the analytics script that does load, the email you may send us, and the ordinary server records that any website on the internet produces. It is written in plain language, and it only states things we can actually stand behind.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the website at wageincreasecalculator.com and the calculator published on it. It does not cover other sites you reach by following a link from here, and it does not cover the separate privacy practices of the third parties named further down, each of which sets its own terms.
There is no account system on this site. You cannot register, sign in, or create a profile, and we take no payments. Nothing here asks you for your name, your employer, or any identity document.
What happens to the numbers you enter
Your current pay, your raise percentage or amount, your new pay figure and the cadence you pick are read by the page's own script and turned into results in the same browser tab. There is no server-side calculator API behind this site, so there is nothing for those values to be sent to.
- Local every calculation runs in your browser
- Not sent pay figures are not submitted to this site
- Not stored we keep no record of what you typed
- Cleared reloading or closing the tab discards it
If you use the copy button, the result text is placed on your device's clipboard by your browser. Where that text goes next is entirely up to you and is outside our reach.
Analytics
This site loads Google Analytics 4 on every page. We use it to see which pages get visited and roughly how people arrive, so we know what to fix or write next. It is a Google product, and Google processes the data it collects under its own terms and controls.
The kinds of data an analytics script of this sort typically collects include:
- Usage pages viewed, events, and session activity
- Device browser, operating system, screen and language
- Referrer the page or search that sent you here
- Location approximate region derived by Google
Analytics of this kind generally relies on cookies or similar browser storage to tell one visit from another. We do not claim this site is cookie-free. We do not send your pay figures, or any field value from the calculator, to Google Analytics or to anyone else.
For what Google does with data from sites that use its services, see Google's own privacy documentation at policies.google.com/privacy. We have no visibility into Google's internal handling beyond what Google publishes.
Email you send us
If you write to us through the address on the contact page, we receive whatever you put in the message: your email address, your name if you sign it, and the content itself. We use it to read and answer you.
Email is not a private channel end to end. Your message passes through your own mail provider and through the mail providers we use to receive and reply, and each of those handles it under its own policies. Please do not send anything you would not want sitting in an ordinary mailbox — there is no need to include your payslip, your employer's name, or any identifying detail to ask a question about the calculator.
Hosting and server logs
This site is served as static files through hosting and content-delivery infrastructure. As with essentially every site on the web, the systems that deliver a page can record ordinary request information for operations, reliability and abuse prevention. That typically includes:
- IP the address the request came from
- Request the URL, method and response status
- Agent the browser user agent string
- Time the timestamp of the request
Security-related metadata — things like rate-limiting signals or bot-filtering results — may also be recorded by that infrastructure. These records are produced by the hosting provider rather than by any code we wrote, and they are governed by that provider's practices.
We are not stating a retention period or a storage location for these logs, because that is set by the provider and we will not assert numbers we cannot verify.
Advertising
The launch version of this site carries no advertising and no AdSense script. No ad network code is loaded on this page or on the calculator.
That could change. If advertising is ever added to this site, this policy will be updated to describe it before that code ships, so the page you are reading always matches what actually loads in your browser.
Your choices
Most of what is described above is under your control from the browser side:
- Cookie controls. Every major browser lets you block, limit or delete cookies and site storage, either for all sites or for this one specifically. Look for cookies or site data in your browser's privacy settings.
- Content blockers. A tracker blocker, ad blocker or privacy-focused browser extension can stop the Google Analytics script from loading at all. The calculator does not depend on analytics and works normally without it.
- Google's own opt-out. Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics measurement across sites that use it.
- Private browsing. A private or incognito window discards cookies and site storage when you close it.
- Send us less. Because nothing is required to use the calculator, the simplest choice is to use it without contacting us at all.
If you have a question about anything on this page, or want to ask what we hold from an email exchange, get in touch. We will answer honestly about what we can and cannot see.
What we are not claiming
Plenty of privacy pages promise more than the site behind them can deliver. To be clear about the edges of this one:
- Not a claim that this site sets no cookies
- Not a promise of perfect anonymity
- Not a guarantee about third-party deletion
- Not a certification under any privacy law
We do not control what Google or the hosting provider collect, keep or delete, so we make no guarantee on their behalf. We are also not stating that this site is certified compliant with the GDPR, the CCPA or any other specific regime. If you are relying on a particular legal framework, review it against the actual behaviour described above rather than against a compliance badge.
Changes to this policy
When the way this site handles data changes — a new third-party script, a new contact channel, advertising — this page gets rewritten to match and the date at the top is updated. There is no mailing list, so the date line is how you can tell whether anything has moved since your last visit.
This policy was last updated on 7 August 2026 and describes the site as published on that date.
